Platform updates: Big Bear becomes faster + Ability to choose which notifications to receive

When developing Big Bear, a 1st party attribution system, the focus was on creating a fast architecture that met industry benchmarks without compromising the performance of merchants’ sites. Initially, the "defer" tag was used for both the Big Bear click script and sale script. This ensured the scripts loaded in parallel with the page but only executed after the page finished loading, providing extra safety for merchants’ sites while meeting qualitative and quantitative benchmarks.
Continuous internal analysis to optimize the attribution system led to re-evaluating the "defer" tag. The team considered replacing it with "async," which allows scripts to execute as soon as they load, thereby increasing response speed.
After thorough testing and successful trials on partner sites like springfarma.ro and esteto.ro, it was determined that using "async" did not create any issues for merchants’ sites and improved script response times by a few milliseconds.
The Big Bear script template has now been updated to include "async" instead of "defer," and current users can switch to the new tag without any risk, expecting incremental improvements that contribute to long-term benefits.
